GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – The offense had it going on Friday night in the home opener as four different players reached double-figure points to lead No. 7 Cornerstone to an 88-74 win over Taylor (Ind.). The victory opened a busy weekend in which the Golden Eagles (2-1 overall) will now face No. 16 Saint Francis (Ind.). The Cougars defeated No. 5 Indiana Tech 111-109 in overtime in the first game of the CU Classic. Cornerstone and USF will tip at approximately 5 p.m. on Saturday.

- Cornerstone trailed only briefly after jumping out to a 12-0 lead
- The Trojans only led for 5:46 of the game and the largest margin was just one
- There was an abundance of 3-point makes as the teams combined to go 23-49 from long range
- CU had a 10 point lead just before half but the Trojans made back to back triples, including one from 75 feet to cut the margin to 41-37
- CU slowly pulled away in the final 10 minutes of the game thanks to an 11-12 performance in the closing half from the charity stripe
