GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – The Golden Eagles were outscored 26-8 in the third quarter resulting in an 82-55 loss in a non-conference vs. IU-Northwest on Saturday afternoon. The Red Hawks defensive pressure and ten threes helped them get off to an early lead and hold on to the 27-point win inside Mol Arena. Cornerstone is now 1-10 on the year as the get set to return to conference action against Lawrence Tech on Wednesday at 5:30 p.m.

- CU trailed 23-16 at the end of the first after IU-Northwest hit four threes in the period.
- The Red Hawks would increase their lead to as many as 16 in the second quarter, but a pair of jumpers by Shelby Nyboer in the final two minutes helped the Golden Eagles cut the deficit to 12 at the half.
- IU-NW forced six CU turnovers with increased defensive pressure in the third quarter helping them to a 26-8 run and 64-34 lead.
