Box Score GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - Cornerstone built a 2-1 lead after doubles and then split the six singles matches to pick up a 5-4 road win at Calvin on Saturday afternoon. The win is the first of the year and the first of head coach Zac Chambers' coaching career. The Golden Eagles will resume play next Friday in their home opener against Alma College.

Doubles Highlights - CU opened a 2-1 lead in the match with wins at No. 2 and No. 3 as Aliaksei Kanstantsinau partnered with John Cocoma to win 8-4 on the second court while Dan Ribbink teamed with Nick Kleitch to win 8-5 on the third court. CU suffered a tough 8-6 defeat on court number one.

Singles Highlights - CU got the first points of singles when Kanstantsinau won 6-2, 7-6 at No. 3 singles before seeing Calvin win on the top court to make it 3-2. The next two matches to finish gave the Golden Eagles the win as Austin Hendrick won a thrilling 3-set match (6-4, 4-6, 10-7) over Matt VanWinkle and the clinching point came from Cocoma at No. 4 (6-4, 6-4).

What's Next? Cornerstone will host Alma College next Friday.
