No. 1 Men’s Basketball to celebrate senior day in 2-game week

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – No. 1 ranked Cornerstone starts their final week of their regular season with a road trip to UM-Dearborn before coming home to celebrate senior day against Lawrence Tech on Saturday. The matchup of the Golden Eagles and Wolverines during the work-week will feature two of the top three teams in the WHAC and will tip at 7:30 p.m. with Andy Smith live on the CSPN.

Scouting UM-Dearborn – Head coach Taylor Langley
Fourth-year head coach Taylor Langley and the Wolverines are fighting for a Top-3 finish in the WHAC standings as they conclude the regular season on Wednesday with No. 1 Cornerstone. UM-Dearborn is 18-11 overall and 13-6 in conference play and they have been led all year by senior Jason Penn who is averaging 16.1 points and 8.2 rebounds per night. A very balanced lineup follows Penn as Maflaion Joyner (12.0), Xavier Crofford (11.2) and Gage Throgmorton (10.6) are all in double-figures.

Scouting Lawrence Tech – Head coach Joshua Pickens
The Blue Devils, under first year head coach Joshua Pickens, are 4-20 overall and 3-15 in the WHAC. LTU will play Indiana Tech on Wednesday before visiting Grand Rapids on Saturday and they have been led in scoring by Ty'rese Searles who is putting up 16.9 points per night. He is joined in double-figures by Devonte Myles who is averaging 15.6. The Blue Devils struggle on the offensive end as they put up just 64.9 points per game while allowing 74.5.
