GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – After opening their season with a 2-2 mark at the Huntington Forester Invitational last weekend, the Golden Eagle Volleyball team heads to Illinois where they will play four matches over two days at Trinity Christian College. Head coach
Ryan Campbell and the team will face Saint Xavier, Trinity Christian, Judson and Saint Francis, all from the Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference (CCAC).

- Kendra Zwart was named to the Forester Invite All-Tourney Team and went over 1,000 career kills in the win over Brescia (Ky.)
- CU's offense struggled with a .173 hitting percentage which included 98 attack errors
- The Golden Eagles posted an average of 2.1 aces per set which is up from 1.2 aces/set last year
- The last time CU was at this tourney, the Golden Eagles went 3-1 including a pair of 5-set wins
- Over the last three seasons, CU is 13-4 against teams from the CCAC
Scouting the Opponents
- Saint Xavier (0-1) – The Cougars have played only one match, dropping a straight sets match at Clarke (Iowa)
- Trinity Christian (0-0) – The host Trolls are making their 2018 debut in their home tourney
- Judson (2-1) – The Eagles are 2-1 under first year head coach Julie Fahy
- Saint Francis – The Saints are making their season debut under veteran head coach Cara Currier
