The Big Fellas Big Day
Senior
Sam Vander Sluis continues to break records, smashing his career high for points with a 45 point and 22 rebound game at Lourdes. Vander Sluis also hit a career high 17 free throws in 18 attempts in the win. Due to the outstanding numbers, Vander Sluis has been named WHAC Player of the Week for the fifth time this season. Coach E Winning Percentage
Head Coach
Kim Elders continues to dominate against WHAC opponents, holding a 79.9% winning percentage against current conference opponents. Coach Elders is 315-79 against teams currently in the WHAC with a combined 23-2 record against this weeks opponents of Rochester College and Northwestern Ohio.
Scouting Rochester
After finishing as the WHAC Tournament runner-up in the 2017-18 season, the veteran Warriors have posted a bit of a disappointing record at 12-11, 6-8 WHAC. Despite the record, Rochester has been one of the best teams in the country offensively, averaging 82.0 PPG to go along with 238 made threes to rank 10th in NAIA DII. Junior Armand Cartwright has been the offensive leader for RC with a team best 16.9 PPG. Last time out the Warriors got revenge against receiving votes Madonna defeating them 80-74 on the road.
Scouting UNOH
The Racers have struggled in 2018-19 posting the worst record in the conference at 6-16, 2-10 WHAC. UNOH has a lot of youth that does a lot of the heavy lifting for the team, as a freshman and sophomore guard combo of Zach Montes and Nathan Lessing lead the team in both points per game and assists per game. A senior forward Willis Mackey Jr. is the team's best rebounder at 7.9 a game.
