CRod Nears 1,000
Junior point guard Christian Rodriguez is nearing 1,000 career points as he is just 101 points away from 1,000 in his career. Rodriguez has 99 points through the first seven games this season and has 899 for his career after 327 as a freshman and 473 as a sophomore. Rodriguez is on pace to become the 43rd Golden Eagle in program history to record 1,000+ career points.

Free Throw Percentage
Cornerstone has been dominant at the free throw line in the early season ranking second in all of NAIA DII with an 84.4% team mark from the strike. The Golden Eagles have shot above 80% from the mark in five of the teams seven games this season, including a perfect 100% (13-13) against Saint Xavier. Head Coach Kim Elders is a remarkable 514-71 in his 27 year career when CU makes more free throws than their opponent.

WHAC Tournament Foes
Both of this weeks opponents are teams the Golden Eagles saw last year in the 2018-19 WHAC Tournament. CU defeated Siena Heights 84-66 in the semifinals and fell to the defending WHAC Tournament Champions Indiana Tech 72-61 in the finals. Head Coach Kim Elders is 37-23 all-time against Siena Heights, and 39-13 all-time against Indiana Tech.

Scouting Siena Heights
Receiving votes Siena Heights has gotten off to a slow start in 2019-20, posting a 2-3, 1-1 WHAC record. The veteran Saints have three seniors in their starting lineup and are led by guard Demarco Dickerson who is averaging a team high 20.4 PPG. Dickerson was a Second Team All-WHAC athlete in 2018-19 and is joined by WHAC First Teamer Keith Jordan Jr who is averaging a team second best 17.2 PPG to go along with a team high 7.8 RPG.

Scouting Indiana Tech
No. 23 Indiana Tech has gotten off to an unfortunate start posting a 1-5 record and 0-1 WHAC record. The Warriors have played one of the toughest schedules in the NAIA, with three of their losses coming to NAIA Top 25/RV opponents, and four of the teams five losses have been by five or less points. IIT is coached by former CU assistant Ted Albert and the defending WHAC Tournament Champions are led by sophomore Josh Kline who has a team high 15.7 PPG and 8.0 RPG.
