SYLVANIA, Ohio. – The Golden Eagles hit the road for a WHAC contest against Lourdes University. CU fought hard but fell by a score of 80-65 to the Gray Wolves.
Rebekah Crosby led Cornerstone with 14 points, while
Shelby Nyboer tallied 13 and
Missy Maas added a career-high with 10. The Golden Eagles will now have an eight-day break before their home contest against UNOH on December 4
th at 5:30.
Game Flow
- Both sides came out swinging in the first quarter, with the lead changing hands multiple times. The Gray Wolves just edged in front and at the end of one, lead 14-13.
- CU fought hard in the second frame, tying the score at 30-30 with 2:16 remaining in the half. Lourdes then scored the final five points of the quarter, taking a 35-30 lead into the locker room.
- Lourdes looked to build a lead coming out of the half, stretching their advantage to as many as 12 points. Cornerstone answered with an offensive run, bringing themselves within four points at 47-43. The Gray Wolves again closed the quarter on a five-point run, giving them a 52-43 lead.
- Cornerstone drew within seven on two occasions but the Lourdes lead proved to be too large, as the Golden Eagles were unable to claw all the way back, eventually falling 80-65.

By The Numbers
- Cornerstone ceded a slight rebounding edge to Lourdes, losing the board battle 31-27.
- CU shot a solid 44.9% from the floor but were unable to slow down Lourdes offensively. The Gray Wolves finished the night shooting 51.9%.
- Both sides had three players in double figures. Cornerstone ended the night with Rebekah Crosby at 14, Shelby Nyboer at 13, and Missy Maas at 10. Lourdes finished with Mirandia Green at 19, Sara Semier at 17, and Baylee Baldwin at 16.
- Thanks in part to a strong effort by Missy Maas, Cornerstone outscored the Lourdes bench 18-14.

The Golden Eagles will get a little break before facing their next WHAC opponent, the University of Northwestern Ohio on December 4
th. Tip-off is set for 5:30 pm from Mol Arena.
