LIMA, Ohio. – The Golden Eagles dropped all three doubles matches 8-2, 8-4, and 8-2 against No.19 ranked UNOH. Cornerstone lost the first two and only two singles matches that finished. CU will have a week to rest before they travel to Orlando, Florida for their match on March 3 on the USTA national campus against Birmingham-Southern College.
Doubles Highlights– Cornerstone started the match with No. 1, No. 2, and No. 3 doubles matches. The first of three flights dropped the eight-game set 8-2. The match that followed, No. 2 doubles, dropped their match 8-4. The final doubles match was lost 8-2 against their ranked opponent.
Singles Highlights– Singles saw only two full matches. Those matches were played by
John Cocoma, No. 1 singles, and
Tomas Yacuzio, No. 3 singles and both resulted in losses. The other four singles matches went unfinished once UNOH had clinched the match by a 5-0 score.
Cornerstone will play their next match in Orlando, Florida on the USTA National Campus against Birmingham-Southern College.
