LIMA, Ohio. – The Golden Eagles did not play doubles matches against the University of Northwestern Ohio. In singles play, CU dropped all six of their matches in straight sets in the conference opener. Cornerstone will have a week to rest before they travel to Orlando, Florida for their match on March 3 on the USTA national campus against Alvernia University.
Singles Highlights– Singles play started with a pair of tough losses by No.1 and No. 2 singles. After the first two matches, CU took lost two more matches in the No. 3 and No. 4 singles flights. The final two matches of the day were played by Amanda Verhulst, No. 5 singles, and Abbie Weeuwsen, No. 6 singles. The No. 5 singles set scores were 4-6, 1-6 and No. 6 singles were 3-6, 1-6, both in favor of ONOH.
Cornerstone will play their next match in Orlando, Florida on the USTA National Campus against Alvernia University on March 3.
