CLERMONT, Fla. – The Golden Eagles continued spring break action on Saturday morning with two more games. St. Thomas (Fla.) put up eight runs and Mount Vernon Nazarene put up 11 runs. Both games ended by the mercy rule. Cornerstone will have Sunday off before returning to the fields on Monday afternoon for games against Hannibal LaGrange and Trinity Christian.
Game 1: St. Thomas (Fla.) 8 – Cornerstone 0
- Ashley Loera made her first career start in the circle
- St. Thomas got on the board in the second inning with an RBI groundout
- Loera got her first career hit at the plate in the third inning.
- The Bobcats put up three runs in the third inning, one in the fifth, then three in the sixth.
- The Golden Eagles were hitless in the fourth, fifth, and six innings.

Game 2: Mount Vernon Nazarene 11 – Cornerstone 0
- MVNU rallied for six runs in the first inning, two in the second, and three in the third
- After allowing a leadoff walk in the fourth inning, Chelsea Harrison got two straight ground balls for a fielder's choice then the team's first double play of the year.
- Kailin Hurrle made her collegiate debut at second base in the fourth inning.
- Freshman Gaby Fundora got her first career hit in the fifth inning with a bloop single to center field.
