SOUTHFEILD, Mich. – The Golden Eagles took a tough loss on the road against Lawrence Tech. CU was able to win the No. 3 doubles match prior to the singles matches starting. After doubles, Cornerstone secured the victory in No. 5 and No. 6 singles flights. CU has played their final match of March and will play Grace Christian University on Saturday, April 2
nd.
Doubles Highlights– Cornerstone were able to win one of the three matches within doubles play. That one win came from
Amanda VerHulst and
Abbie Meeuwsen at No. 3 doubles. This win marked the 11
thof the season for these two as partners.
Singles Highlights– CU struggled at the start of singles play but were able to win the No. 5 and No. 6 flights. Amanda Verhulst, No. 5 singles, won her match 6-0, 6-1. This win marked her 11
thsingles win and 22
nd total win of the season.
Abbie Meeuwsen was able to end the day on a high note by winning her No. 6 singles match.
Cornerstone's next match won't be until April 2
ndwhen they take on Grace Christian University.
