ROCHESTER, Mich. – The Golden Eagles opened up WHAC play with two games at Rochester on Wednesday afternoon. After a solid 4-1 victory in game one, Cornerstone dropped game two by a score of 6-2 to start conference play with a 1-1 record. The team will face two more WHAC teams this weekend as the Indiana Tech Warriors will come to town on Friday before Northwestern Ohio makes a visit on Saturday.
Game 1: Cornerstone 4 – Rochester 1
- Maddie Vassar blasted her first career home run in the 2nd inning. The long ball to left center brought in the game's first three runs.
- McKena Razenberg added to the lead with an RBI single in the 5th inning to make it 4-0.
- Rochester's lone run scored on a wild pitch in the 5th inning.
