ROCHESTER HILLS, Mich. – A see-saw battle of WHAC rivals saw Cornerstone fall to Rochester University by a score of 76-67.
Shelby Nyboer led the Golden Eagles with 18 points, but CU were unable to slow down Rochester's Devan Valko and Lexey Tobel. The Rochester duo put up 22 points each, while both shooting over 50% from the field. Cornerstone's next opportunity to grab their second WHAC victory will be this Wednesday, January 8

Game Flow
- A back-and-forth 1st quarter saw multiple lead changes, before Rochester gained control to take a 17-11 lead into the second.
- CU slowly chipped away at the Rochester lead, responding to multiple runs by the Warriors. A late free throw from Allyson Richards brought CU within 5, 34-29.
- The Golden Eagles came out of halftime strong, regaining the lead with 3:28 remaining and taking a 53-51 lead into the final quarter.
- Rochester took control in the 4th, closing the gap and retaking the lead 2 minutes into the quarter. From there, the Warriors wouldn't look back, holding off multiple CU pushes to claim a 76-67 victory.

- Rochester won the game from the free-throw line, going 26-33. CU shot 15 less free throws, going 12-18 from the charity stripe.
