The Golden Eagles suffered a 4-0 loss on Wednesday in a non-conference match at Olivet Nazarene after the Tigers scored two goals in each half. Cornerstone then earned a 1-0 victory over WHAC foe Siena Heights thanks to Allan Barrientos' goal in the 62nd minute. Cornerstone held a 14-9 advantage in shots over the Saints, while goalkeeper Alan Mendoza earned his 2nd shutout of the season, both of which occurred at home. After a 1-6-1 record at home last year, the Golden Eagles' 2-0 home start to the 2020-21 season is its best since 2015.

Lawrence Tech shares an identical 2-1 WHAC record with the Golden Eagles. The Blue Devils have wins over Lourdes and Rochester, while their lone setback came in a 2-0 loss to WHAC powerhouse Indiana Tech. Senior midfielder Juan Jaramillo leads the team with an impressive four goals and four assists in five games. Freshman forward Kean Lam has scored five goals and was recently awarded WHAC offensive player of the week. Cornerstone has a 4-5-1 against Lawrence Tech since their first competition in 2011, but the Blue Devils have prevailed in 4 of the last 5 meetings, including last year's 4-2 result.

Scouting Indiana Tech

Indiana Tech (3-0, 3-0 WHAC)

The Warriors, who went undefeated last season in conference play, are the lone (active) WHAC team without a loss this season. Saturday's contest against Cornerstone will be the first competition for Indiana Tech in two weeks, as their two scheduled matches since October 17 have been postponed or canceled. Noe Garcia leads the team with three goals and two assists. Over three games, the Warriors are outshooting their opponents 73-11 while holding an 8-1 advantage in goals. Indiana Tech has defeated Cornerstone in four straight contests, although the Golden Eagles nearly pulled off an upset last year before the Warriors scored the game-winner with less than a minute to play.
