FORT WAYNE, Ind. – The Golden Eagles were shocked early by the Warriors of Indiana Tech, falling 2-1 in the final game of the fall to break the undefeated streak to start the season. Cornerstone's lone goal was scored by
Sierah Adams for her second of the year. Cornerstone ends the fall 3-1-1 and will pick up conference play in February of 2021.
The Highlights:
- The first five minutes doomed the Golden Eagles again as the Warriors found the net in the fifth minute on a goal from Bailey Elliott.
- Just before the half, Cornerstone responded with a goal from Sierah Adams that was volleyed off the pass from Madison Radcliffe to tie the game at one.
- The first 10 minutes of the second half were physical but neither side were able to break the tie.
- Indiana Tech broke the tie in the 60th minute off an intercepted pass that was chipped over the goalie to make it 2-1.
- Cornerstone continued to find shots on net, but was unable to find the equalizer in the final 30 minutes falling 2-1 in the fall finale.
