GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - The Golden Eagles rebounded from their lone loss of the season taking down NCAA DIII Olivet College 5-0 at GR Racquet Club and Fitness. CU swept all three doubles matches to earn the first point and then followed that with four singles victories to clinch the match. Cornerstone is now 4-1 overall as they start on Friday vs. Northwestern Ohio back at GR Racquet Club and Fitness.

Alayna Bowman and
Valentina Garcia dominated at number one singles giving up just one game to win 6-1.
Abbie Meeuwsen and
Amanda VerHulst were the second group to finish at number three singles with a 6-3 victory to clinch the point in doubles.
Marissa Menichini and
Nicole VerHulst won for good measure 6-4 at number two doubles.Â

The match was clinched after wins at the 2-5 singles positions. Number one singles and number six singles did not finish due to the match being clinched. All four matches that were decided were won in straight sets, including a 6-2, 6-0 win for
Nicole VerHulst at the number four spot.Â
