Last Week Recap
The Golden Eagles had a tough week, playing two of the better teams in the WHAC, falling 71-61 at Indiana Tech and 85-78 vs. No. 22 Madonna. Cornerstone is now 14-10, 8-7 WHAC and sits in fifth in conference play with five regular season games remaining. CU will now travel to Northwestern Ohio and host Rochester this week as they look to get back on track after recording just their second streak of two losses in a row this season.

Double Digit Losses
A historic run for the Golden Eagles comes to an end as the team has recorded double-digit losses for the first time since the 2012-13 season where they lost 11 games. The 2012-13 season was also the last time that Cornerstone did not make the NAIA DII National Tournament, qualifying for six consecutive seasons. In Head Coach Kim Elders 27 seasons, this is only the 12th time that his team has lost 10 or more games.

Baker's Season High
Tyler Baker was just two points shy of a career high with 30 in the home loss vs. Madonna. Baker nearly single handily brought the Golden Eagles back from a double-digit deficit hitting seven threes in the game to tie a career high. Baker is second on the team this season, averaging 13.0 points per game.

Top 10 Rankings
CU ranks in the top 10 in NAIA DII in FG % defense (40.0%), total blocks (112), and blocks per game (4.67).

Scouting UNOH
Despite just eight wins on the season, Northwestern Ohio has been one of the best teams in the WHAC on their home court, winning five of their eight in The Garage. This includes a four game home winning streak with two wins vs. NAIA DII Top 25 opponents. Nathan Lessing is the leader for the Racers ranking third in the WHAC and 25th in the nation in PPG with 20.1. Just over a week ago, Lessing was named the WHAC Player of the Week for his performance.

Scouting Rochester
The Warriors have been on a tear of late, winning four of their last six games with their only losses coming by two points. Senior Armand Cartwright ranks second in the WHAC in PPG and 24th in the nation at 20.7. As a team, Rochester takes care of the ball and plays outstanding defense with a turnover margin of 5.4 while holding opponents to just 68.3 points per game. RU is just a half game back from Madonna for third in the WHAC with five regular season games remaining.

History vs. Opponents
Cornerstone defeated a pesky UNOH Racer team 74-70 earlier this season and suffered their worst loss of the season at Rochester 73-48 in early January. All-time the Golden Eagles have the edge against both of this weeks opponents going 20-2 against Northwestern Ohio and 6-1 vs. Rochester.
