GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – Cornerstone was able to win one of the three doubles matches but lost the point to open the match.
Tomas Yacuzio was able to battle back in his No. 4 singles match to force a third set thriller. Despite some close battles within singles play, CU was unable to win any of the six matches. The Golden Eagles fall to 3-2 on the year, and won't be back on the court until Friday, February 21
stwhen they host the University of Northwestern Ohio.
Doubles Highlights– The No. 2 doubles flight was responsible for the sole victory for Cornerstone. The team of
John Cocoma and
Tomas Yacuzio took control of the match early and finished strong. This 6-3 win from this duo was their fifth straight.
Singles Highlights– CU was unable to secure a victory within singles play. However, Tomas Yucuzio was able to battle back from dropping the first set 6-1. He was able to win the second set 6-1 and force a third set. Unfortunately, this final set was won 6-4 by Davenport.
Cornerstone will return to the court on Friday, February 21
