Jake Brinks returns to Cornerstone to sign with Men’s Volleyball

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. –  A familiar face has signed his letter of intent to return to Cornerstone as a graduate student, as Jake Brinks will use his fifth year to compete with the men's volleyball program in their inaugural season. Jake, who has always loved the game of volleyball, spent time working with the women's team before the announcement of the men's program went public at CU. He was involved in multiple other athletic programs during his time as an undergraduate student at Cornerstone including a stent with the track & field program where he was a part of the NAIA Indoor National Champion Runner-Up men's DMR team. Jake also played JV soccer and was involved in many other parts of the campus community while at Cornerstone.

Jake is the son of Jeff and Vicki Brinks and plans to get a Masters in Organizational Leadership over the next two years. With just one year of eligibility left, Jake plans to play this season, and then serve as a graduate manager in his second season in the Cornerstone graduate program.

Why CU?
"I chose Cornerstone for the community aspect and the overall love of Jesus Christ by everyone on campus." – Jake Brinks
