Women’s Tennis suffers first loss 4-3 vs. Grace

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – In a match that couldn't be any tighter from start to finish, the Golden Eagles came out on the losing end falling 4-3 to Crossroads League foe Grace College. Grace won two of the three doubles matches, two of those matches going to a tie breaker, which ended up being the difference as the sides split singles play. Cornerstone looks to bounce back on Thursday when they travel down the road to Calvin University for a 4:30 p.m. match.

Doubles Results
Both the number one and number two doubles flight went to a tie breaker after they were tied 6-6. The top flight of Alayna Bowman and Hanna De Le Vega Sanchez fell 7-4 in the tie breaker, while the second flight of Valentina Garcia and Trinity Klamecki won their tie breaker 7-5. The first point of the match would then be decided in flight three, where the CU duo of Katarina Vasiljkovic and Nicole VerHulst fell 7-5.
