FORT WAYNE, Ind. – The Golden Eagles had a quick turnaround with a road WHAC match at (9) Indiana Tech where they were swept 25-13, 25-11, 25-17. Cornerstone's offense struggled, recording just 13 kills as they drop to 2-19, 0-11 WHAC on the year. The regular season comes to an end next weekend with a road match at Trinity Christian on Friday and a home match vs. Goshen on Saturday.
Game Recap – Indiana Tech – 3 Cornerstone – 0 (25-13, 25-11, 25-17)
- Logan Chagdes recorded a kill to tie set one at three before the Warriors went on a 4-0 run to take a 7-3 edge.
- Two more 4-0 runs helped Indiana Tech coast to a 25-13 set one victory as they hit a game high .333 in the first.
- Cornerstone scored the first two points of set two after a pair of IIT attacking errors.
- Indiana Tech scored the next seven points, using three kills to take a 7-2 edge.
- Three more Indiana Tech errors brought CU within four at 14-10.
- Indiana Tech quickly responded though with a 9-0 run as they won set two 25-11 on an attack error from David Rodriguez.
- Cornerstone fell behind early again in set three, trailing 10-4 after a block from the Warriors.
- A kill by Joshua Richline brought CU back within three at 11-8.
- Despite a fight down the stretch from Cornerstone, Indiana Tech went on two more 4-0 runs to win set three 25-17.
