GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – After concluding their season at an even 5-5-1 record, the Men's Soccer team will hit the road as the fifth seed to take on fourth-seeded Lourdes on Saturday evening. The Golden Eagles faced off against the Gray Wolves in the season opener back on October 3 and fell by a score of 3-0. Kick off is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. in Sylvania and will have live stats and video available at cugoldeneagles.com and at the links below.

Cornerstone Notes
The Golden Eagles ended the regular season on the best possible note on Monday by pulling off a 2-0 victory over 8th-ranked Northwestern Ohio. With both goalkeepers out, Senior
Logan Johns put on the goalie gloves and made nine saves in the shutout victory.
David Mawi and
Nate Kaercher were responsible for the goals, scoring in the 52nd and 84th minutes, respectively. Cornerstone finished 4-1-1 in home games while going only 1-4 in road action.
Nate Kaercher leads the team with four goals, two of which have been game winners. The Golden Eagles did not quality for the 2019 WHAC tournament, and saw first round exits in six straight years from 2013 to 2018. The program has not won a postseason game since 2012 when CU won two before falling in the tournament championship game.
Lourdes Notes
The Gray Wolves finished the regular season with a 9-7-1, 6-4-1 WHAC record. The tie was an impressive one as it came against WHAC powerhouse Indiana Tech. Brendon Long leads the team with eight goals. Lourdes' goal differential this season is zero as they've scored 31 goals and also surrendered 31, with 14 first half tallies and 17 in the second half. The Gray Wolves are 4-3-1 in home games this season.
History vs. Lourdes
In the six contests between the schools since 2015, each side shows three wins, all of which were of the shutout variety. The 2015, 2019, and 2020 matches were won by Lourdes, while Cornerstone won three straight from 2016 to 2018.
