GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – It was a successful Senior Night that saw two Seniors score goals in the 3-1 victory over Cleary.
Elizabeth Kollen and Jozly VanTol were the seniors that scored to highlight their special day as
Hope Steenwyk had another successful game in goal. The Golden Eagles move to 4-4-1 on the season and stay at home for a matchup against Michigan-Dearborn on Wednesday, October 5 at 7 p.m.
Game Highlights
• Cornerstone came out the aggressor as in the first minute of the game had two shots on goals and two corner kicks, but the Cleary goalie saved both shots.
• Senior
Elizabeth Kollen got the scoring started for the Golden Eagles in the 2nd minute of the game from a pass from fellow Senior
Jozlyn VanTol for the 1-0 lead.

Arianna Rau had a great opportunity in the 32nd minute but her shot was saved by the Cougar goalie.
• In the 44th minute,
Arianna Rau had another opportunity with a shot on goal but the Cougar goalie with another save.
• Cornerstone heads into halftime with the lead, 1-0.
• In the 48th minute, Senior
Jozlyn VanTol added to the Cornerstone lead after a great pass from Shelton Cruces to extend the lead 2-0.

Elizabeth Kollen had a great opportunity to score her second goal of the game, but the Cougar goalie had a great save.
• In the 73rd minute, Cornerstone had a great opportunity with a foul right outside the box, but the shot by
Scotland Philip sailed just left.
• In the 82nd minute,
Skylar Scholten's shot hit the left post but shot out far enough for
Elayna Cady to put a foot on it right into the goal to extend the lead 3-0
• Cleary responded in the 87th minute by scoring their first goal of the game by Elena Strauss.
• Cornerstone finished Senior Night with a success winning the game 3-1.
