Most Goals Since 2012
Tyler Corstange added his eighth goal in the loss vs. Northwestern Ohio this past weekend as the freshman has now scored the most goals since 2012 and Isaac Grotenhuis who tallied 10. Corstange is currently tied for third among the WHAC in total goals scored with only Stankovic of Rochester and Echevarria from UNOH ahead of him.
Most Goals Against
Cornerstone allowed four goals against in their home contest vs. (13) UNOH, the highest ranked opponent they have played all year. The CU defense has been outstanding all year, allowing just 23 total goals which 21 less than a season ago.
Ethan Pike in net has played almost every minute and has a .767 save percentage with 66 total saves this season.
Scouting LTU
The Blue Devils sit just above Cornerstone in the WHAC standings at 3-5-6, 3-2-2 on the year. LTU has been the king of the tie with a WHAC leading six. Lawrence Tech has gotten better as the season has gone on, winning two of their last three after playing a very difficult non-conference season. Goals have been very spread out for the Blue Devis this season with six players scoring more than one this season. Guillermo Garcia leads the way with five, while in net LTU has used two keepers looking to find a solid back line allowing 25 total goals against.
Scouting Madonna
Madonna has not gotten the respect they deserve so far this season as they are only receiving votes despite going unbeaten at 11-0-2 and 6-0-1 in WHAC play. Madonna has yet to play UNOH or Indiana Tech who are both ranked ahead of them in the NAIA Top 25 poll however. Everything has been clicking for the Crusaders though, scoring 39 goals while allowing just 10. Keeper Youssou Ouendeno is one of the best in the NAIA with a .816 save percentage and 40 saves. Offensively there are a lot of weapons as well with 14 players having a goal this season. Ryota Nakajima leads the team with eight goals and five assists this season as a transfer from Nihon University as he is originally from Chiba, Japan.
