Men's Soccer falls on the road to Rochester

ROCHESTER HILLS, Mich – This was a game of two halves, as Cornerstone won the first half and Rochester won the second half winning the game 3-2. Two late second half goals by Rochester were the difference makers in the game. Cornerstone now heads back home to play the final game of the regular season as they host Concordia on Saturday, October 29. 

Game Highlights
• Cornerstone was aggressive to start the game as a shot by Boston Knapp missed just wide right in the 5th minute.
• The Golden Eagles have stayed on the aggressive as in the 14th minute Braeden Stewart scored the first goal of the game off a rebound from the goalie.
• They had another opportunity in the 16th minuet as shots by Boston Knapp and Grant Hassenrik was saved by the Warrior goalie.
• In the 35th minute, Rochester tied the game 1-1 off a rocket shot goal by Luka Knezevic.
• Right before the half, Cornerstone was able to score off a corner kick where Christian Galloway found the back of the net to make a 2-1 Cornerstone lead.
• Cornerstone heads into the half 2-1.
• Rochester was the aggressor to start the second half as they held possession for the majority of the start of the second half.
• In the 64th minute, Rochester was able to tie the game 2-2 after a goal by Travis Newman.
• Cornerstone almost responded with a goal 30 second later as the shot by Calvin Curtis missed just right.
• In the 71st minute, Rochester took the lead 3-2 with a goal by Dmitar Stankovic.
• Cornerstone had late life as they tried to tie the game up but was not able to capitalize on the opportunities.
• Rochester won the game 3-2.
