GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – Cornerstone women's volleyball extended their career long winning streak to 31 games after winning a tough battle against Madonna 3-1 (25-18, 20-25, 25-21, 25-23). It was a back-and-forth battle the entire night that was high stakes down that stretch that saw the veteran lineup of Cornerstone use to their advantage.
Kathryn Detweiler had a career night with 16 kills with great defense by the Golden Eagles that was led by
Patsy Morris. Cornerstone will now look to complete the season sweep as they look to take down Indiana Tech tomorrow at 1 p.m. for the WHAC Tournament Championship.

Rylie Walters kill, Cornerstone extended their first set lead 16-10.

Kathryn Detweiler forced Madonna to use their final timeout as Cornerstones lead 22-13 in set one.
• An
Aubrey Lenz service ace and a kill by
Olivia Keelean helped the Golden Eagles win set one 25-18.
• Cornerstone and Madonna started off the second set trading points back-and-forth as the Golden Eagles are leading 6-5.
• Madonna would use a quick 4-0 run to tie the game 12-12 before a kill by
Olivia Keelean ended the Cornerstone drought with a kill.
• Madonna has used Cornerstone's errors to their advantage as they took a 20-16 lead in set two.
• Cornerstone would respond swiftly scoring three straight points making it a 21-19 game after kills by
Kylie Barron and
Kathryn Detweiler.
• Madonna would finish the set strong winning set two 25-20, evening up the game at one.
• Cornerstone would start the third set strong, up 5-1 thanks to kills by
Kathryn Detweiler and Madonna errors.
• Madonna uses a 5-0 run to take the lead 9-7 after a service ace by Jamie Ciacico.
• Cornerstone has battled back-and-forth with Madonna as the game is tied 16-16 in the third set thanks to a Madonna service error.
• A big service ace by
Rylie Walters and a kill by
Olivia Keelean gave Cornerstone the 20-18 lead late in the third set.
• Cornerstone finished the third set scoring four of the last five points winning 25-21, thanks to a booming kill by
Kylie Barron.
• Cornerstone and Madonna have traded points to start the fourth set as
Patsy Morris gave Cornerstone the early 4-3 lead.
• A kill by
Kaylee Dykema and
Kylie Barron ties the game 10-10. Right after
Aubrey Lenz gets another service ace to give Cornerstone the 11-10 lead in set four.
• Cornerstone forced Madonna to use their first timeout as they went on a 4-0 run, thanks to kills by
Hannah Giere and
Kylie Barron giving the Golden Eagles a 17-13 lead.
