GRAND RAPIDS, Mich – After a day off to celebrate Thanksgiving, Cornerstone started off sluggish against Indiana University South Bend. After burning off the Turkey in the first half, the Golden Eagles came out strong in the second half that saw
Trent Summerfield set a new career high in points with 19 to help Cornerstone win 90-83.
Cory Ainsworth has one of his typical games with 20 points and seven-rebounds. Cornerstone only has one game this upcoming week as they continue their trend of facing Indiana schools, as they travel to Indiana Tech on Wednesday, November 30.

Eli Steffen got the scoring started for the Golden Eagles off a nice pass from
Trent Summerfield to tie the game 2-2.
• IUSB had to call their first timeout of the game after Cornerstone went on a 10-0 run to extend their 12-4 after
Luke Rowlinson and
Carter Nyp drained a three with 16 minutes to go in the first half.
• IUSB responded swiftly, upping their pressure on defense that led to a 9-0 run to take the lead 13-12.
• IUSB continued to build off their great start to offense using another 9-4 run that saw them extend their lead 22-17.
• The defense of the Titans has continued to be an issue for the Cornerstone offense as
Carter Nyp knocks down his second three of the game making it 32-25 IUSB with 7:19 to go in the first half.
• IUSB seemed to make everything as a three pointer by Nick Mullen made it 43-33 Titan lead with 3:17 to go in the first half.

Trent Summerfield and
Cory Ainsworth made key buckets in the last minute of the first half as IUSB headed into halftime 49-40. IUSB is shooting 55% from the field and 44% from three in the first half.
• Cornerstone came out strong using a 7-3 run in the first two-minutes to cut the 52-47 after a three by
Carter Nyp and two easy buckets for
Cory Ainsworth and
Trent Summerfield.
• IUSB responded with their own 7-2 run to extend their lead back to 59-49 after a Miles Tracy layup with 14 minutes to play.

Trent Summerfield caught fire, single-handedly bringing Cornerstone back into this game scoring 10 straight to make it a 62-59 Titan lead with 11:30 to play.
• A three by
Zac Velthouse gave Cornerstone their first lead since early in the first half 65-64. Cory Ainswoth then followed with a layup making it 67-64 with nine-minutes to play.
• Cornerstone and IUSB continued to trade blows for the next few minutes before Cornerstone saw a six-point advantage 79-73 after an
Eli Steffen layup.
• It came down to the charity stripe, as Cornerstone went 7-8 in the final two-minutes of the game to finish off their strong second half by winning 90-83.
