Senior Day
Cornerstone will honor seven students on Saturday with an outstanding senior class.
Kaylee Dykema,
Olivia Keelean,
Patsy Morris, and
Rylie Walters will be the four players who will be honored. All four of which who have been crucial players on the Golden Eagles program best 28 match win streak. CU will also honor three outstanding student assistants in Alana Kemler, Savannah Mitchell, and Ellyse Perkin. Senior Day celebration will take place 10 minutes prior to the match start time.
Perfection
Cornerstone is now just one win away from becoming the second ever WHAC team to go 20-0. CU looks to match Lawrence Tech in 2019 a team that all these seniors saw go 20-0 during their freshmen year. CU has already clinched the WHAC Regular Season Title, and the number one seed headed into the conference tournament.
Lenhart 300
Head Coach
Megan Lenhart also has a major milestone on the horizon this Saturday as she looks for her 300
th career Head Coaching victory. A win vs. the Wolverines would give Lenhart 91 at Cornerstone to go along with the 209 she recorded at Davenport, totaling 300 for her career. Lenhart has been outstanding as the Head Coach of the Golden Eagles with a 90-36 overall record.
WHAC Champs
Cornerstone secured the outright WHAC Title last week in their home win over Concordia, which also gives them an automatic bid to NAIA Nationals that open on November 19 with an opening round game. CU has now won the regular season title twice in the last three seasons and has seven in program history. Headed into the WHAC Tournament, Cornerstone will also be striving for their seventh WHAC Tournament Championship next week inside Mol Arena.
