Last Week Recap
The Golden Eagles hosted (2) Grace College for a non-conference game and fell 69-64 before rebounding for a dominant WHAC victory over Siena Heights, 89-45. CU is 9-3, 5-1 WHAC and sits a half game back of Indiana Tech and Rochester for first place in the conference. 
 
In-State vs. Out of State
Cornerstone has posted a perfect 5-0 record vs. opponents within the Mitten while going just 4-3 against teams from out of state. The state of Indiana has been the biggest struggle for CU with all three losses coming to Hoosier teams and a 1-3 overall record vs. that state. Head Coach Kim Elders all-time is 435-153 against teams from the state of Michigan. 
 
Ainsworth FG% Record
Cory Ainsworth continues to dominate the field goal percentage as he is still on pace to break the career program record. In 2022-23 however, Ainsworth is shooting 76.8% to rank third in the NAIA. The two players ahead of Ainsworth have recorded less than half the total shots, putting Ainsworth at the best percentage for total shots taken on the year. 
 
Redo vs. Lourdes
The Golden Eagles were supposed to host Lourdes on Saturday, November 19 following the WBB contest. Due to a snowstorm that hit hard in the evening, Lourdes was unable to travel forcing the reschedule. 
 
History vs. Lourdes
Cornerstone and Lourdes have been competing since 2011 when the Gray Wolves started a basketball program. CU is a dominant 21-3 all-time against Lourdes, but two of the three losses have come in the last three seasons. Last year, CU split the home and home with Lourdes, falling 77-62 at LU and winning 87-67 at home. 
 
Scouting Lourdes
The Gray Wolves have gone 8-3, 4-3 WHAC on the year and seen their struggles come in road contests. Lourdes is a perfect 5-0 in home or neutral games and only 3-3 in road contests. In two of the three losses, LU has scored under 60 points overall. Lourdes is a very veteran team that prides themselves on the defensive end, holding opponents to 67.1 PPG to rank 42nd in the NAIA. The duo of Jackie Harris and Joey Holified lead Lourdes in points with 15.8 and 15.5 points per game respectively. Harris also leads the team with seven rebounds per game.
