Five from the Women's Volleyball program earn AVCA Regional Awards

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - After the Golden Eagles outstanding season came to an end today, the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) released the NAIA honors for All-Region awards. CU found five members of the program honored in the Mid-East region with four players as well as Head Coach Megan Lenhart. Lenhart earned Mid-East Region Coach of the Year, while Patsy Morris was named the Regional Defender of the Year, and Aubrey Lenz was named the Regional Setter of the Year. Seniors Olivia Keelean and Kaylee Dykema also joined Morris and Lenz on the All-Region Team in 2022. 

Megan Lenhart - Region Coach of the Year 
In her fourth season, Head Coach Megan Lenhart led the Golden Eagles to her second WHAC Regular Season Title and WHAC Tournament Title and a trip to the NAIA Tournament Final Site for the first time since 2017. She led CU to a 34-4 record, winning 34 in a row and now has over 300 career coaching victories with 96 of those at Cornerstone. 

Patsy Morris - Regional Defender of the Year
Patsy Morris ended her college career with a career season of 850 digs, putting her second all-time in career digs and seventh all-time for a single season. She earned the WHAC Player of Year and WHAC Defender of the Year and can now add All-Region Defender of the Year and First Team All-Region to the honors list. Morris averaged 5.99 digs per set and ranked top five in the NAIA in multiple defensive categories. 

Aubrey Lenz - Regional Setter of the Year
The sophomore setter has built on an outstanding freshman season, upping her career best for a single season to 1483 assists in 2022. Lenz has 2670 career assists and already ranks in the top 10 in program history for assists in a single season and for a career. Lenz earned WHAC Setter of the Year this season and has now earned All-Region Setter fo the Year and First Team All-Region. 

Kaylee Dykema - All-Region Team
Senior Kaylee Dykema capped off her career with an outstanding season leading the WHAC with a .277 hitting percentage. She also led CU with 392 kills this season and earned First Team All-WHAC honors Dykema is a player who came on the scene the last two seasons as a middle hitter and led the team to one of the most successful seasons in program history. 

Olivia Keelean - All-Region Team
Senior Olivia Keelean ends her career at CU as one of the few to record over 1000 kills and 1000 digs. In 2022 she earned First Team All-WHAC to go along with her All-Region honor as she ends the season with a team second best 387 kills. Keelean added a team third best 381 digs to her career totals this season and has earned First Team All-WHAC honors in two consecutive seasons.
