Women's Soccer scores six times to cruise past Grace Christian

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – The Golden Eagles were on the offensive all night as they scored six goals, giving them the 6-0 win over Grace Christian. Jozlyn VanTol found the net twice to help to help in Cornerstone's win. The Golden Eagles were able to score six goals last season as well winning that game 6-0 over Rochester. Cornerstone will be looking to use build off their great offensive performance on Saturday as they travel to Bethel University.
 
 
The Highlights:
  • Cornerstone started the action with a goal by Kailey Dodge in the 2nd minute of the game, sneaking one into the left side of the net.
  • Through the first 14 minutes of the game, Cornerstone has been on the offensive without letting the Tigers have any opportunity on offense.
  • Kailey Dodge scored her second goal of the game in the 20th minute off a beautiful pass by Jozlyn VanTol, to give Cornerstone the 2-0 lead.
  • Headed into halftime Cornerstone has outshot the Tigers 15-2 and lead 2-0.
  • In the 47th minute, two minutes out of halftime, Jozlyn VanTol scores her first goal of the season off a pass from Tori Woodwyk. Giving Cornerstone the 3-0 lead.
  • In the 62nd minute, the Golden Eagles capitalized on a great opportunity as Ainsley Harris strikes a perfect shot right past the goalie. Making it a 4-0 Cornerstone lead.
  • Cornerstone stays on the offensive as Jozlyn VanTol scores her second goal of the game with a great shot into the left side of the goal. Giving Cornerstone the 5-0 lead in the 66th minute.
  • Cornerstone has stayed on the offensive giving Grace Christian little to no opportunities to score.
  • Just like her sister, Jada VanTol finds the goal in the 73rd minute to give Cornerstone the 6-0.
  • Cornerstone took control of the game from the start and won the game by a score of 6-0.
