GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – After a long delay due to COVID, Cornerstone men's basketball is set for a once in a lifetime trip to the Holy Lands at the end of May and the beginning of June as the next CU program to take an international vision trip experience. The team will travel with PathFinders and be led by Pastor Scott Nyp (father of fifth-year senior Carter Nyp) during a week long experience through some of the most historic Biblical locations throughout the Holy Lands.

CU will depart on Tuesday, May 30 and return on Wednesday, June 7. The team will start in Jaffa and hit a multitude of spots along the way including going on a boat tour of the Sea of Galilee on their way to Capernaum, a trip to the nature reserve of Ein Gedi, exploring the city of Jerusalem, floating in the Dead Sea, seeing the Garden of Gethsemane, traveling to the Temple Mount, and so much more.

The goal is to give Cornerstone men's basketball the experience to walk the very footsteps that Jesus walked through his ministry during His time on earth. They will also minister to the local community through the sport of basketball, as they will scrimmage a few teams during their time there.

As the team prepares for this trip, they are asking that friends and family of CU men's basketball might prayerfully consider helping financially with this trip as well as through prayer. Every gift whether small or large will go directly to the student athletes who are each trying to raise over 3,000 dollars to go on this vision trip.

To financially partner with Cornerstone men's basketball, you can DONATE NOW at the attached link. At the link, participants are to select GO Athletic Trip: Israel, put in their information, and then select a participant's name to give to. If you would like to give to the team without specifically designating funds for an athlete on the team, you can skip the participants name field and just designate the funds to the Israel trip.

Stay tuned over the next week for a recap article of the last team who went on a CU vision/mission trip, as we will recap the Golden Eagle women's soccer's time in Honduras in December.
