ROCHESTER HILLS, Mich. –  The Golden Eagles played yet another close game with Rochester and fell by a mere four points, 85-81. • Rochester responded with a 7-0 run to take their first lead of the game at 9-8 on a pair of Jacara Thompson free throws.
  • The Warriors continued their run, going on a 12-1 run to increase their advantage to 14-9 halfway through the first quarter.
  • Both offenses continued to dominate in the fast paced first quarter as a Kaycee Sluiter tip in put CU within four at 21-17 and went down as the 38th combined point in just seven and a half minutes of game action.
  • Olivia Kubik hit a big three to end the first quarter making the deficit just three after 10 minutes at 25-22. Both teams shot above 40% in the quarter and combined for 15-17 from the free throw line.
Second Quarter:
  • The bank was open to start the second quarter, as Kennedy Helderop hit a deep three, tying the game at 25.
  • Rochester would continue to find their buckets, but some great ball movement from the Golden Eagles kept getting them open threes. Maddison Fulks and Jaxi Long each hit one, as all nine points CU scored in the first five minutes of the second came from behind the arc.
  • Mackenzie Stein hit the first two-point bucket of the period off a nice pass from Kaycee Sluiter to put CU down two, 35-33.
  • Rochester scored the final four points of the second quarter with a layup from Jacara Thompson making it 47-40 at the break.

  • The third quarter came to an end with Rochester leading 61-59.

Fourth Quarter:
  • Cornerstone would tie the game on the first possession of the fourth, capping the run at 14-2, as Stephanie Ainsworth scored in the post.
