Last Week Recap
Cornerstone concluded a four-game stretch against the top four seeded teams in the WHAC last week, going 0-2 with a home loss to (8) Indiana Tech and a road loss to Rochester. CU got off to great starts in both games, but saw big runs go against them that stifled late comeback attempts. CU is now 14-9, 8-7 WHAC on the year as they will play their final two regular season home games vs. UM-Dearborn and Aquinas this week.

Senior Day
Cornerstone will honor two players and three managers for senior day on Saturday, February 4. Fifth-year senior Carter Nyp and Trent Summerfield will walk on Saturday with managers Danielle Hopkins, Diego Flores, and Roman Wickham. Senior Cory Ainsworth will not walk this weekend, as he plans to use his fifth-year option to return next season.

Nyp 45 Away
Carter Nyp continues to inch closer to the top 10 in program history for rebounds as he recorded nine and eight last week to move his career total to 763. This puts him 45 boards away from Caleb Simons to take over 10th all-time in CU program history.

Crawford vs. Babcock Wednesday Night
On Wednesday night, CU's Spiritual Formation & Christian Community (SFCC) team will be hosting halftime contests for students living in Crawford & Babcock halls. The winners of the contests will earn awards for their hall later this year.
WHAC Leader in Free Throw %
Despite CU's struggles from the free throw line as a team, sophomore Luke Rowlinson is the WHAC leader in free throw percentage at 87.1%. He is 54-62 from the line and is shooting a little over two percent better than the next best free throw shooter in Biggz Johnson out of Northwestern Ohio.

Scouting UM-Dearborn
UM-Dearborn sits in last in the WHAC with a 4-19, 1-14 WHAC record. Of the four wins that the Wolverines have, two game against the same opponent in Penn State - Schuylkill on back-to-back days. Defense is where UM-D struggles, as they have given up over 100 points on 10 different occasions this season. Last time CU and UM-Dearborn met, Cornerstone shot a season best 65.3% from the field.

Scouting Aquinas
The Saints have been inconsistent all year, but have recorded some upsets, going 9-12, 5-9 WHAC on the season. AQ only scores 67.5 PPG, but they have held opponents under 70 points per game 11 times this season. Aquinas is led by senior Gabe Overway in the post as he averages 14.3 PPG and 6.9 rebounds per game. AQ has not had a consistent starting lineup this season as nine different players have recorded a start in the 2022-23 season.
