WHAC Player of the Week
After a career high 11 blocks at Northwestern Ohio,
Kylie Barron was named the WHAC Defender of the Week for the first time this season. Barron averaged 2.0 blocks per set on the week and ranks eighth in the NAIA in total blocks with 111. For her career, Barron has 353 blocks now making it each of her first three seasons with 100 or more.
Home vs. Away
As Cornerstone has four regular season games remaining with two at home and two on the road, CU has struggled on the road while being rather successful at home. The Golden Eagles hold an 8-5 record at home while going 2-8 in road contests this year. CU has secured a winning record inside Mol Arena in each of the last four seasons.
WHAC Outlook
With four games remaining, the Golden Eagles currently sit in seventh in the WHAC standings with a 7-9 conference record. If the season ended today, they would travel to Aquinas for a WHAC Tournament Quarterfinal test. CU still has the opportunity to gain some ground, sitting just 1.5 games back from Lawrence Tech and Concordia who hold an 8-7 WHAC record.
