It's Western Night for Women's Volleyball lone game of the week

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - Women's Volleyball only has one match this week and it will be against UM-Dearborn on Wednesday, October 4 starting at 7 p.m. They have reached the halfway point in conference play as after the game against Dearborn, they will be starting to face conference teams for the second time as they get geared up for the final push down the stretch. The Golden Eagles currently sit in sixth place in conference with a 4-5 record, a game behind UM-Dearborn who sits at 5-5 in the conference. Come out and support Cornerstone and dress up in your best Western gear.

Cowboy hats, flannels. and horses? You got it! Dress in your best western attire for the game on Wednesday to support the Golden Eagles as they take on UM-Dearborn at 7 p.m. Giddy on up to the Mol Arena.

Evening up the Record
It has been an up and down season for the Golden Eagles so far as they are 9-10 (4-5) on the year with 11 games remaining before the WHAC Tournament. After a four game losing streak, Cornerstone has put together a good week and a half as they have won three of their last four games, looking to add one more win to even up the record at 10-10 (5-5). Solid Volleyball has been played in part of setter Aubrey Lenz averaging 42 assists per-game and Emmalee Murphy averaging 15 kills per-game during this last four game stretch.

Looking at UM-Dearborn
UM-Dearborn is sitting one game ahead of Cornerstone in the WHAC standings with a 5-4 record. The veteran team has picked up big conference wins with victories over Siena Heights and Concordia on their way to sitting at fifth in the conference. The veteran team is led by their seniors Regan Rose who has 579 assists on the season and outside hitters Sydney Eggleton and Kielee Tondryk who both have over 150 kills on the season. Dearborn ranks in the top 15 for total blocks on the year and eight in the country with 2.42 blocks per-set.
