WHAC Tournament Outlook
The Golden Eagles come into the WHAC Tournament as the seven seed and will face the two seed Indiana Tech. Aquinas is the WHAC Regular Season Champion and has earned an auto bid to NAIA Nationals after beating Indiana Tech in the final contest of the year to secure the title. Madonna is the three seed and will host six seed Lawrence Tech, and Lourdes is the four seed hosting five seed UNOH. All four contests will take place on Saturday, November 4 and the semifinals will take place on Wednesday, November 8.

Strong End to the Year
Cornerstone earned their seven seed after an outstanding end to the year, going 3-0-1 in their final four games. Going into the four-game stretch, CU looked to have a tough stretch of play, but built momentum after a win over Lawrence Tech and a tie with Madonna. The Golden Eagles outscored the four opponents in the last two weeks 8-2, including a 2-0 win at Concordia last Saturday.

Last Time Out vs. Indiana Tech
Earlier this season, Cornerstone hosted Indiana Tech and nearly pulled out a draw with a late second half goal from Calvin Curtis. The Warriors scored in the 85th minute however to secure a 2-1 victory over Cornerstone and sneak out with three points. Indiana Tech has won the last 10 matches vs. Cornerstone as CU last won in 2015 in Fort Wayne.

Three Time WHAC Defender of the Week
Sophomore goalkeeper Roberto Gutierrez earned his third WHAC Defender of the Week award a week ago after nine saves and just one goal allowed in 180 minutes of play. Gutierrez won the award in back-to-back weeks and now holds a save percentage of .724 going into the playoffs. Gutierrez has won the WHAC Defender of the Week award more than any WHAC player this year.

Scouting Indiana Tech
After a 0-3-1 start to the year, the Warriors lost for the first time since September 9 last Saturday vs. Aquinas in their chance to secure the WHAC Regular Season Championship. IIT now comes into the WHAC Tournament with work to do if they want to qualify for their fifth consecutive NAIA National Tournament. Indiana Tech has struggled more than they have in the last five years on the defensive end, allowing 22 goals and seeing three different keepers with action in net. Offensively, IIT is still outstanding, as they have scored 32 goals led by Luke Jones who has 11.
