Last Week Recap
It was not a week that the Golden Eagles would like to remember as they lost both of their conference matchups. #20 Lourdes got the best of Cornerstone to open the week with an 84-81 victory, holding off the Golden Eagles late second half comeback efforts. Men's Basketball would then fall to Concordia 86-75 later in the week in a game that were winning until the four-minute mark, late in the second half. Cornerstone will look to change their trajectory as they face off against Indiana Tech for another important road conference matchup.
Looking at Indiana Tech
The national champion runner-up in Indiana Tech has gotten off to a slow start to their season as they sit a 4-5 (3-1) for the season. The Warriors lost one of their best players in the first game of the season in Blake Davidson but have relied on junior transfer Nigel Martin to lead the way in scoring. Indiana Tech has always been a thorn in the side of the Golden Eagle's since former assistant coach Ted Albert left to be the head coach of the Warriors. Look for this game to be a defensive battle with one team being able to sneak out with a victory.
