Kyi Jagorin becomes the first Golden Eagle to ever win back-to-back weekly awards as he was named Defender of the Week for the second consecutive time this past Monday. Jagorin has had double-digit digs in each of the last five games including a season high 19 against Judson on February 4. 
 
WHAC Standings
Of the 10 teams inside the WHAC in 2023, six of them are ranked or receiving votes in the NAIA Top 15. Mount Vernon Nazarene is off to the best start at 6-1 in WHAC play with Lourdes and Indiana Tech right behind them all with one WHAC loss. Cornerstone sits in fifth with a 3-3 record and will take on two teams this weekend who are below them in the standings at 2-4. 
 
Scouting Goshen
The Leafs are on their fourth coach in four years as they hold a 2-5, 2-4 WHAC record so far in 2023. A new look Goshen team is led by a freshman in Ishmail Bangura who is dominating the offensive statistics with 110 kills. He averages 4.07 kills per set with the next best averaging under two per set. Passing has been the weakness of the Leafs as they average 8.48 digs per set, which is over a dig less per set then their opponents. 
 
Scouting Bethel
The first year Pilot men's volleyball program has gotten off to a decent start with a 3-5, 2-4 WHAC record. Last time out they added to their now two game win streak with a five-set victory over Goshen. As you would expect with a first-year program, the team is very young with 12 freshmen and four sophomores on the roster. Eric Snyder is the Head Coach after serving as the Head Coach at Campbellsville in Kentucky from 2019-22. Bethel is led offensively by Arthur Barreto a freshman from Brazil.
