GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – Cornerstone came out as the aggressor in every set to bet Goshen 3-0 (25-23, 25-21, 26-24). Goshen battled back to tie it in every set, but Cornerstone did just enough to edge past the Maple Leafs. The Galanes brothers led the way for the Golden Eagles in the kill department as Freshman
Landon Waltz chipped in seven. Cornerstone returns to action tomorrow at 3 p.m. as they take on Bethel University.

- First Set
- Cornerstone jumped out to a 6-2 start thanks to kills by Hubert Sliwinski and Brunno Peres.
- Goshen used a 6-2 run to tie the game 8-8 thanks to a few Cornerstone errors.
- Cornerstone and Goshen has continued to go back and forth as it is still tied, 13-13.
- The Golden Eagles use a quick 3-0 run to force the Goshen timeout as they are now leading 18-15 after a kill by Hubert Sliwinski and errors by the Maple Leafs.
- Cornerstone continued to take advantage of the errors by Goshen as David Galanes adds a kill to make it 21-17 Cornerstone.
- Cornerstone stopped the Goshen rally with a kill by David Galanes to end the first set, as the Golden Eagles win set one 25-23.
- Second Set
- Just like the first set, Cornerstone jumped out to an early lead, as a service ace by Andrew Galanes makes it 6-3.
- Goshen used a little rally to make it 7-7, taking advantage of the Cornerstone errors.
- The Golden Eagles responded with a 3-0 run to force a Goshen timeout as Kyi Jagorin had a service ace, making it 10-7.
- Cornerstone forced the final Goshen timeout as they are now leading 19-13 thanks to kills by Landon Waltz and Andrew Galanes.
- Cornerstone finished set two on a high note winning 25-21 thanks to a kill by Andrew Galanes and another service ace by Kyi Jagorin.
- Third Set
- It has been a common theme for Cornerstone as they jumped out to another 6-3 lead thanks to a kill by Landon Waltz and a service ace by David Galanes.
- More kills by Landon Waltz and David Galanes give Cornerstone the 10-7 lead.
- Goshen uses a 3-0 run to tie the game 10-10 taking advantage of the Cornerstone errors.
- Cornerstone used a 5-2 run to retake the lead 15-12 thanks to kills by Andrew Galanes and Hubert Sliwinski.
- Goshen outscored Cornerstone 8-3 as they take their first lead of the game 20-18.
- Cornerstone responded tying the game 22-22 after a kill by David Galanes and the Maple Leaf error.
- Cornerstone closed out the game with a 4-0 rally after getting down 24-22 to close out set three with the 26-24 victory.
