WHAC Quarterfinal Outlook
Cornerstone ended the regular season on a three-game road winning streak to finish fifth in the WHAC which will send them to the four seed Rochester for the first round of the WHAC Tournament Quarterfinal. The winner of that game will play the winner of the 1 vs. 8 game between Indiana Tech and Aquinas on Saturday. Cornerstone is 18-10 on the year while Rochester is 19-9 and they split the season series in 2022-23 each winning their home game.

Kim Elders has only traveled for the conference tournament quarterfinal four times all of them as the five seed. CU last finished fifth in the COVID year of 2019-20 and the only other two times came in 1993-94 and 1996-97.

Carter Nyp continues his pursuit of the top 10 list all-time for career rebounds as he sits at 796 for his career. He needs 808 to move to the top 10 and just four more to crack 800. Last time out, Nyp recorded his fourth double-double at Lawrence Tech with 14 points and 11 rebounds.

Kim Elders, Cornerstone has gone 55-20 in WHAC Tournament games, winning 10 conference tournament titles. CU last won a WHAC Tournament Title in 2017.
Scouting Rochester
Similar to Cornerstone, Rochester ended the regular season on a three-game winning streak after dropping three straight to finish the year with a 19-9 record. Rochester has been outstanding behind the three-point line, shooting 36.4% from deep. The Warriors are very balanced with four players averaging double figures led by senior James Ballard Jr. at 13.3 PPG. RU is an outstanding defensive team, holding opponents to 67.9 points per game and have done most of their defensive work at home with a 12-4 home record.
