GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – Softball welcomed Cleary for the battle of the CU's as Cornerstone was victorious sweeping the day. The Golden Eagles won game one 8-3 and game two 11-3 as their offense was hot all day. Cornerstone totaled 27 hits between the two games and hitting six homeruns as the power display was in full force in the sweep over Cleary. 
Molly Poole and 
Delaney Wilson each had two homeruns to lead the way for the Golden Eagles in the power department. Cornerstone will now hit the road as they take on Lourdes on Friday, March 30 for a double-header started at 3:30 p.m.
 
Game One Highlights – Cornerstone – 8 Cleary - 3
	- Mikayla Meade got the start for the Golden Eagles and started off with a nice 1-2-3 inning striking out a pair of Cleary batters. Delaney Wilson leads off the bottom of the first with a double but can't come home as the Golden Eagles leave runners on second and third.
- Cleary used a two-out rally to score first the run of the game with a long double to left field scoring the runner from first. The Cougars up 1-0 after the top of the second. Cornerstone answered right away in the bottom of the second as Molly Poole returned to the lineup with a long homerun down the left field line. After Dylan Holmes was hit by the pitch, Delaney Wilson would bring her home with two-outs as Cornerstone takes a 2-1 lead.
- It was a busy inning for the Golden Eagles as Cleary struggled to find the zone as they loaded the bases for Molly Poole. Poole would bring in two with a sharp single up the middle as Maddy Chatman and Dylan Holmes would bring home a run each on groundouts to give Cornerstone a 6-1 lead after the third inning.
- Cleary scratches home a run in the top of the fifth inning as timely hitting on a ball that just got through the infield scores a run as Cornerstone still leads 6-2. Molly Poole again drives in another run with her second homerun of the game that gives Cornerstone the 7-2 lead after the bottom of the fifth.
- Cleary again started chipping away at the Golden Eagle lead as a few hits with two-outs scores a run as Alyssa Braam came into the inning to help Meade get out of the trouble. Cornerstone leads 7-3 after the top of the sixth. Delaney Wilson joins in on the homerun with a shot that just gets over the left field wall to give Cornerstone the 8-3 lead.
- Alyssa Braam slams the door shut with a pair of strikeouts to give Cornerstone the game one victory in the battle of the CU's.
Game Two Highlights – Cornerstone – 11 Cleary - 3
	- Alyssa Braam got the start for the Golden Eagles in game two and worked out of a first inning jam stranding the runners on second and third. Cornerstone threatened in the bottom of the first thanks to a Cleary error but was not able to score.
- Maddy Chatman reached on a bloop single after a long battle to start the second inning. She would later score on a Paige Liddell bloop single to give Cornerstone the 1-0. The two-out rally continued as Morgan Jenkins would bring in run with another bloop single to give Cornerstone the 2-0 lead after the second.
- Cleary chipped into the Cornerstone lead with two-outs as Kate Curry goes the other way for a double to bring in a run to make it a 2-1 game. Just like that, Moriah Sprague and Maddy Chatman both hit booming homeruns to give Cornerstone a 4-1 lead.
- Cleary used some two-out magic to cut into Cornerstones lead stringing together three straight hits that has scored two-runs on some very aggressive base running by the Cougars. Cornerstone leads 4-3. Everytime Cleary scores, Cornerstone answers with runs of their own as Delaney Wilson hits a big three-run homerun to give the Golden Eagles some breathing room as they lead 7-3 at the end of the fifth.
- Cornerstone continued to slowly chip away at the Cleary pitchers as Bailey Anson ripped a single through the left side to drive in another run. Emma Tornes would follow that up with an RBI double into the right center gap to give Cornerstone the 9-3 lead. Delaney Wilson continued her great day driving in another run with a sac fly making it 10-3. Hanna Depoy would bring in the winning run on a sac fly to give Cornerstone the 11-3 victory.
