GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – The 2023 women's volleyball campaign is set to begin with three matches at the IU-Kokomo Tournament. The new look Golden Eagles strive to get off to a strong start under the direction of Head Coach
Megan Lenhart who begins her fifth season at CU. Cornerstone will play two matches on Friday vs. Bethel (Ind.) and the host IU-Kokomo before a single game on Saturday against Campbellsville University out of Kentucky. All matches will be played in the Student Center on the campus of IU-Kokomo.

2022 Recap
Cornerstone saw one of their most successful seasons in program history a season ago winning the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) Regular Season and Tournament titles with a perfect 20-0 conference record. After an 0-3 start to the year with a veteran team, CU set a new program record for consecutive wins before falling to the top seed Eastern Oregon in group play of the NAIA National Tournament. CU swept the WHAC awards as senior
Patsy Morris earned Player of the Year and Libero of the Year, while sophomore setter
Aubrey Lenz was named the Setter of the Year.

Megan Lenhart is excited to welcome in an outstanding recruiting class with five new freshmen and two transfers.
Emmalee Murphy (Davenport) and
Eliza Thelen (GRCC) come in as transfers, while
Dyllan Hanna (Homewood-Flossmoor HS),
Alli Pickard (Lakewood HS),
Alison Pignataro (Okemos HS),
Gabrielle VerBerkmoes (McBain), and
Macy Ward (Heritage Christian HS) come in as freshmen.
Coaching Addition
Cornerstone is excited to announce a small change in the coaching staff going into the 2023 season as
Kayla Clark will now serve as a more permanent Assistant Coach with the program. Clark a graduate of CU and former setter with the team, earned NAIA All-American Honorable Mention honors during her career and served as a Volunteer Assistant a season ago.
Four to 100
Head Coach
Megan Lenhart comes into year five with a .705 winning percentage and a 96-40 record leading her alma mater. Last season, Lenhart surpassed 300 career coaching wins between her time at Davenport and Cornerstone and now is just four wins away from 100 as a Golden Eagle.
