Men's Soccer set to face off against two more MIAA opponents this week in Kalamazoo and Adrian

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – Men's Soccer is back in action this week against two more MIAA opponents in Kalamazoo and Adrian College. Cornerstone had a rough week last week against two other MIAA opponents in Calvin and Hope but will look to rebound this week. The Golden Eagles travel to Kalamazoo on Tuesday, September 12 starting at 7 p.m. They will then return home on Saturday, September 16 against Adrian starting at 6 p.m.

Last Week Recap
The Golden Eagles faced off against two other MIAA opponents in Calvin and Hope last week and lost both. Cornerstone started the week against Calvin and home, losing 3-0. They would then travel to Hope two days later and would end up losing 4-2. Tyler Corstange scored his third goal of the season while Seth Campbell scored his first. Cornerstone is now 1-2-2 on the season looking for a good rebound this week.
 
Looking at Kalamazoo
Kalamazoo comes into this game against Cornerstone at 2-3, losing their last two games with one of those losses coming against WHAC opponent Aquinas. They have scored seven goals through playing five games and have two players with two goals. Seniors Aidan Gillig Emilio Romo lead the team in scoring as the Cornerstone defense will look to slow them down. Kalamazoo's keeper has 20 saves on a 74% save percentage while having two shutouts.
 
Looking at Adrian
Adrian comes into the matchup against Cornerstone at 0-2-1 and will play WHAC opponent Siena Heights on Wednesday before traveling to Grand Rapids on Saturday. It has been a tough stat for Adrian as they have score just one goal through their first three games of the season, while giving up seven. CJ Fritz has the lone goal for the Adrian as he remains the most aggressive with a team high 9 shots for the season.
