Milestone Watch
This week may be a busy week with milestones with two big ones for the women's volleyball team. Coach Megan Lenhart is just one win away from career win number 100 here at Cornerstone in her fifth season as the head coach. Junior setter Aubrey Lenz is currently sitting at 2,842 career assists, meaning she is just 158 assists away from becoming the 7th player in Cornerstone history to achieve the 3,000 assist mark.

Looking at Lawrence Tech
It is the WHAC opener as Lawrence Tech comes into town to face off against the Golden Eagles. The Blue Devils got off to a slow start losing their first two games of the year but rebounded by winning their next two via sweeps. Lawrence Tech struggled last season, just missing out in playing in the conference tournament as they finished 9th in the conference with a 6-14 record. So far LTU is led by junior Lindsay Hubler in kills with 39 through the first four games with fellow junior Abby Zambeck doing the setting.

AQ/CU Tournament Opponents
It is a busy weekend ahead for the Golden Eagles as they play four matches in two days. Cornerstone starts off the tournament on Friday, September 8 against MVNU and St. Francis (Ill.). MVNU has gotten off to blazing start with a 9-1 record coming in as the #22 team in the nation. They are led by junior Lyssi Snouffer who leads the team in kills with 116 followed by sophomore setter Reagan Nuss who already has 361 assists on the season. St. Francis (Ill.) has gotten off to a slower start, sitting a 1-4 on the year coming off their first win of the season against Trinity Christian. They are led by senior Gabriela Oliveira. On Saturday, September 9, Cornerstone has their last two matches against IUSB and Grace. IUSB has gotten off to a tough start with a 1-7 record are led by senior Abby Seeger who has 77 kills on the season. Grace on the other hand has gotten off to a great start with a 6-1 record with wins against conference foes Lawrence Tech and Michigan-Dearborn. A tough Crossroads League opponent just like MVNU. They are led by junior Jadyn Ross who has 64 kills on the season. There will be a lot of action this weekend along with great volleyball matches.
