GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – Women's Basketball was back in action at home in Mol Arena and came out with an 85-81 victory over Madonna in overtime. Aaliyah McQueen scored 41 points for Madonna and nailed three free throws to force overtime. Cornerstone would go 12-12 from the free throw line in overtime that would be the eventual difference maker in the game.
Stephanie Ainsworth was two blocks away from a triple double as she led Cornerstone with 21 points, 11 rebounds, and eight blocks.
Mackenzie Stien chipped in 21 points as well as Cornerstone moves to 10-8 (8-5) on the season as they face off against #23 Indiana Tech on Saturday, January 27.

- Cornerstone started out hot, leading Madonna 7-3 after Mackenzie Stien completed the three-point play.
- Maddison Fulks gets the steal and Olivia Kubik finishes the layup as Cornerstone continues to lead Madonna 11-3.
- Madonna answered with a 9-2 run to cut Cornerstone's lead to one, 13-12 with 3:20 remaining in the first quarter.
- The Golden Eagles finished the first quarter on a 5-2 run, thanks to a three by Olivia Kubik, to take a 18-14 lead into the second quarter.
- Second Quarter
- Jaylee Long drives and finishes to get the first points of the quarter for the Golden Eagles as they continue to lead 20-16.
- Madonna used a quick 5-0 run to take a 21-20 lead over Cornerstone.
- Cornerstone and Madonna have continued to trade baskets as the Crusaders continue to lead the Golden Eagles 25-24 with four-minutes remaining in second quarter.
- Olivia Kubik drills a three and Megan Bennett makes a pair of free throws to give Cornerstone a 29-27 lead.
- Aaliyah McQueen of Madonna scored five straight for Madonna to end the Cornerstone scoring run as the Golden Eagles still lead 33-32 with a minute remaining in the second.
- Maddison Fulks beats the buzzer with a corner jumper as Cornerstone heads into halftime leading 35-32 over Madonna.
- Third Quarter
- Early turnovers by the Golden Eagles have led to easy scores for Madonna but Stephanie Ainsworth ends that with back-to-back layups to extend their lead 42-36.
- Madonna used a 7-2 run to cut into the Golden Eagles lead 44-43 with just under six-minutes remaining in the third.
- Cornerstone would respond with a 6-0 run of their own to extend their lead 50-43 after a jumper from Mackenzie Stien.
- Just like that, Madonna answered with a 7-0 run to tie the game 50-50 with a minute remaining in the third.
- Mackenzie Stien drives and makes a layup as Cornerstone heads into the fourth quarter leading 52-50.
- Fourth Quarter
- The defense ramped up to start the fourth quarter as Cornerstone and Madonna have battled through the first three minutes of the quarter. The game is tied 55-55.
- Mackenzie Stien completes the old fashioned three-point play as that gave Cornerstone the 58-57 lead.
- Aaliyah McQueen continues to score for Madonna as her three-point play gave Madonna a 64-61 lead with three minutes to go in the fourth.
- Cornerstone has retaken the lead 65-64 thanks to key made free throws as 1:30 remains in the fourth.
- Aaliyah McQueen makes a free throw that gives Madonna a 66-65 lead with 32.8 seconds left in the fourth.
- Olivia Kubik would respond making a pair of free throws that gave Cornerstone a 67-66 lead with 20.8 seconds remaining.
- After a bad pass from Madonna, Maddison Fulks went to the line and made both free throws to make it a 69-66 game with 14 seconds left.
- Cornerstone fouls with two seconds remaining and Aaliyah McQueen makes all three free throws to send the game to overtime, 69-69.

- Stephanie Ainsworth makes a pair of free throws to give Cornerstone a 75-72 lead with 2:30 remaining in overtime.
- The Golden Eagles have continued to knock down their free throws as they extended their lead 81-74 with a minute remaining.
- Aalyiah McQueen was all the offense for Madonna, scoring over half their points as the Golden Eagles iced the game away at the free throw line winning 85-81
