GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – Men's Soccer is slated with two matchups this week first on the road and then returning home this weekend. The Golden Eagles gear up to travel to Lawrence Tech on Wednesday, October 16 and then will return home for a match against Defiance on Saturday, October 19 to close out their week of WHAC competition.

Last Week Recap 
Men's Soccer is coming off a solo match week where they were unable to find the victory. The Golden Eagles struggled to find their offense in a tough matchup against conference opponent UNOH. The Racers were able to find the back of the net twice in the match off 23 shots compared to the Golden Eagles one goal off four shots in the match which gave UNOH the 2-1 victory. Cornerstone's 0-1 week moved them to 4-6-1 on the year. 
 
Scouting Lawrence Tech
Lawrence Tech comes into the matchup against the Golden Eagles with a 4-7-2 record, coming off back-to-back 3-2 losses to Aquinas and Lourdes. Lawrence Tech is led by Guillermo Garcia who has tallied six goals on the year. The Blue Devils average 2.15 goals per game which will put a true test to the back line of the Golden Eagles, but they are also allowing 1.92 goals per game potentially setting up an action-packed matchup. 

Scouting Defiance
Defiance enters the matchup against the Golden Eagles with an overall record of 0-14 (0-8). The Yellow Jackets have struggled this season keeping the ball out of their own net conceding 82 goals and only scoring nine goals on the season. Defiance will have to bring a stellar performance to the Golden Eagles if they have any chance of pulling off the upset.
