GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – Men's Soccer returns to action this week after a much-needed week of rest for a solo match against UNOH. The Golden Eagles will travel for a matchup against UNOH on October 12 looking to bounce back after falling in a narrow loss to Lourdes in their last outing.

Last Week Recap
The Golden Eagles finished this past week with a 1-1 record after taking down Rochester Christian and then falling to Lourdes. In their matchup against Rochester Christian
Tyler Corstange and
Boston Knapp both found the back of the net to give them the 2-0 victory. Cornerstone managed to keep the clean sheet in this match thanks to four saves from
Roberto Gutierrez. The Golden Eagles struggled to get their offense going in their next match against Lourdes.
Calvin Curtis scored an equalizer in the match, but it proved to not be enough as Lourdes took the 2-1 victory. Cornerstone's record now stands at 4-5-1 on the year.
WHAC Standings Outlook
The WHAC is currently led by two 6-0 teams in Madonna and Indiana Tech who have yet to slip up in conference play this season. Aquinas sits in third with a record of 4-2 in conference and Cornerstone will be looking to jump a few spots as they currently sit in seventh place as the WHAC standings currently stand.
Scouting UNOH
UNOH comes into the matchup against the Golden Eagles with an overall record of 5-5-2. They have a 3-2-1 record in WHAC play this season with wins over Rochester Christian and Concordia. The Racers are led by Natxo Sanchez who has scored seven goals on the season. UNOH is averaging 1.67 goals per game as well as 14.1 shots a game giving Cornerstone a tough conference matchup in their solo match of the week.
