GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – It's tournament time for women's volleyball as they host Lawrence Tech in the WHAC Quarterfinal match on Wednesday, November 13 at 7 p.m. Anything can happen now as it is win or go home for every team competing for the WHAC Championship. The Golden Eagles will be searching for a deep postseason run for a chance to make it into the NAIA National Tournament.

Last Week Recap
The Golden Eagles saw themselves tied with Lawrence Tech going into the final week of the regular season with two matches left. Women's Volleyball opened their play last week with a 3-1 victory over Lawrence Tech behind Emmalee Murphy's season high 20 kills. They would then host Rochester Christian for senior night as senior Kylie Barron recorded her 1,000^th career kill as they would go on to win 3-0 to secure the fourth seed in the WHAC Tournament.
 
WHAC Tournament
It is a new style of play this year in the WHAC Tournament as the 7-10 seeds play in a play-in round before making it into the WHAC Quarterfinal. After the WHAC Quarterfinal, the Semifinal and Championship will be played at the highest remaining seeds court for those matches. The Golden Eagles come in at the four seed with Siena Heights at the three, Indiana Tech at the two, and the perfect season of Aquinas saw them take the conference regular season title and the one seed.
 
Season Leaders
With the regular season coming to a close, women's volleyball ended the year with a 20-10 record thanks to these players: Freshman Aubrey Johnson is leading the way with 369 kills with Kylie Barron behind her with 281, Emmalee Murphy with 273, and Gabby VerBerkmoes with 228. Aubrey Lenz recorded her fourth straight 1,000 assist season as she currently has 1,138 on the year. Gabby VerBerkmoes and Kylie Barron have been a force up front with 137 and 107 blocks to lead the way. Emma Whitley has led the backline all year as she leads the team with 403 digs, Aubrey Johnson is right behind her with 345 and Aubrey Lenz has 261. 189 service aces have been recorded on the year for the Golden Eagles as Aubrey Lenz leads with 46, Aubrey Johnson with 35, and Olivia Endris with 24.
 
Scouting Lawrence Tech
Lawrence Tech comes into the matchup against the Golden Eagles with an overall record of 12-12 and the fifth seed in the WHAC Tournament. Cornerstone just beat the Blue Devils last week in four sets and will have a chance again Wednesday night to move to the WHAC Semifinal match. It won't be anything different this time around for the Blue Devils as they continue to be led by Maria Trevino Nunez and her 235 kills on the year.
